Abstract :
We study three-dimensional laser cooling of fast circulating beams, employing the tracking code SAD. As an example, the lattice parameters of the storage ring ASTRID in Denmark are taken to figure out the efficiency of transverse cooling by synchrobetatron coupling. In this paper, the stress is put upon the so-called coupling-cavity scheme of laser cooling. A possible design of the coupling cavity is also presented
