Abstract :
In the modern society, hairstyling is one of the leading fashions. Not only it plays an important role for social relationship, it also affects individual´s perspective on his or her own look; therefore, it might change how people feel about each other. To women, hairstyle not only shows their confidence but also a symbol of beauty. Augmented Reality (AR) is an extension of virtual reality (VR) which focuses on the real-time interaction under real environment. Our study will focus on females´ hairstyle “try-on” experience integrated with AR, utilizing the AR system to increase females´ interaction with hairstyle “tryon” operating model and process. We hope the study will provide valuable information for future digitized hair salon business and consumer-related studies.
