Abstract :
The authors have developed a model for the removal of atmospheric effects from satellite derived land surface albedos. The model is based on the theory of radiative transfer boundary in an anisotropically scattering absorbing plane-parallel atmosphere. The discrete ordinates method is used in the model to treat atmospheric optical effects. The look-up table procedure has been used in order to provide atmospheric corrections. The values for different radiometers are tabulated
