Abstract :
Using the short-time FFT to processing the signal, this paper introduces a 3D time/frequency representation method of PCG (phonocardiogram). The filter-bank summation method is adopted to analyse the heart sound. The 3D imaging gives all frequency components with their intensity in time series. In comparison with traditional PCG this 3D PCG can capture many important quantitative features. The method described in this paper is simple, feasible and characterized by its real-time performance, therefore, shows its good prospect for application in medical training, research and diagnosis
