  • Abstract
The total harmonic distortion (THD) is an important character of vibration transducer calibration system. A new method is proposed in this paper to reduce the THD, which is based on the open-loop frequency response analysis of the vibration transducer calibration system and harmonic compensation. The mathematic model of the motion of electric shaker is described. Results of simulations and experiments show that most harmonic distortion comes from the first five orders components. A compensation function is built to balance the harmonic components and the algorithm is given. A set of experiments are done and show that THD is reduced to 0.398% at 80Hz compared to original 0.89%.
