Abstract
Although almost all physical plants behave in continuous time, it is usual to control them digitally in these days. It is shown in an explicit form that a minimum phase discretized plant transfer function can always be obtained for any duration of sampling period by using generalised sampled-data hold functions. Furthermore, an exact model matching design method using the resulting minimum phase discretized plant is presented, where it is shown that the plant output is bounded during any sampling interval
