Project management is a complex decision making process involving the unrelenting pressures of time and cost. Firstly, the paper points out that multi-mode resource constrained multi-project scheduling problem(MRCMPSP) is one of typical multimodal optimization problems through analyzing its characteristics. The algorithm used to solving this problem should have powerful global and local searching abilities. Secondly, problem description conceptual model is presented. Then, enhancing artificial bee colony (ABC) optimization with artificial immune network algorithm (ai-Net) used to solve MRCMPSP is proposed. Finally, a numerical experiment derived from the project generator ProGen is given to test its performances. The results show the improved ABC proposed in this paper is superior to other algorithms.
