Abstract :
Three possible ways for clutter suppression in airborne radar are discussed, and typical processing approaches are analyzed and compared. It is demonstrated that utilizing priori knowledge of clutter distribution and ultralow-sidelobe narrow-band Doppler filtering are two important ways to simplify the two-dimensional processing. In addition, the effects of array errors on performance of these approaches are analyzed. Finally, simulation results, which lend support to the analysis, are presented.<>
