Abstract :
The necessity of describing VHF propagation under different physico-climatic conditions around the globe demands scrupulous study of radiometeorological parameters of the atmosphere. Vast areas of the Pacific Ocean´s coast are only scantily explored from this point of view. Aerological investigations of the lowest atmospheric layer values for refraction coefficient N and its vertical gradients Gn (to a height of 3000 m above the sea level) have been performed according to the average data during 10 years (1961-1970) for 21 stations. Besides, integral statistic distributions N and Gn have been constructed data of the aerological of seasonal and daily variations N and Gn have been revealed, statistic moments have been calculated, superrefractive conditions have been discovered and there have been shown mechanisms of its formation during the investigation
