Abstract :
Multiframe supperresolution has attracted great interests and is expected to have wide applications to medicine. This paper presents a modified Projection Onto Convex Set (POCS) superresolution method based on wavelet transform. An iterative procedure is utilized to extract the information hidden in a group of low resolution images to update the corresponding high frequency band of the reference image, thus augment the individual low-resolution image to a high resolution image. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated by experimental results based on constructing high-resolution surgical images.
