Abstract
In this paper, the morphodynamics behavior model was discussed by extraction of shoreline and water depth using remote sensing methods. A long-term coastline change near Xiaoqing estuary has been analyzed based on remotely-sensed data retrieved coastline. The empirical model was established between spectral reflectance and measured depth and then was used to interpret seafloor change in the study area. Furthermore, a general conceptual model of the mouth bar evolution is established and then two evolution cycles from 1973-2007, i.e. 1979-1982 and 1997-2000 was identified.
