Abstract :
This paper proposes a flexible and extendable Java application introspection platform, namely Hotspot Insight. Hotspot Insight is built on the official Java Virtual Machine (JVM), viz., OpenJDK´s Hot Spot. Compared to existing solutions, Hotspot Insight archives four unique advantages, i.e., transparency, flexibility, scalability and completeness. With Hotspot Insight, more detailed and useful information of the introspected Java application could be achieved with less development efforts.
