  • Abstract
    A new profile method of carbide shaper cutter with complicated curved rake face instead of conical rake face is proposed in this paper. The mathematical models of complicated curved rake face and cutting edge, which are based on differential geometry envelope theory, are established. Profile error and rake angle are analyzed. Profile correction method is proposed. The shaper cutter with high profile accuracy and high anti-cracked ability is designed and manufactured according to the new profile theory.
