Abstract :
In the paper the problem of accelerating the process of book search is being addressed. The suggested approach consists in developing a thesaurus-like system of interconnected terms used to describe the contents of the book. It is believed to enhance the chances of successful search by means of modern information technologies, alternative search terms and disambiguation of terms of the same subject area.
