Abstract :
Elliptical gear drive is widely used in mechanical transmission, while the current general-purpose CAD systems, did not provide an elliptical gear modeling method. Based on calculating the parameters of elliptic gear pitch curve, use VB6.0 to redevelop SolidWorks software,and discusses the specific process of system development. The system developed is integrated as a plug-in in the SolidWorks environment, and user interface is friendly. One example is used to generate three-dimensional model of the elliptical gear, for a pair of elliptical gears were meshing simulation, and get the transmission ratio curve.
