Abstract :
A power transformer automatic testing equipment controlled by a microcomputer is described. With sampling the required data point by point without any digital meters and parameter transducers, the computer finds various values of current, voltage and power by data processing. The error analysis process and respective formulas are given. The accuracy of the test results is very much dependent on the voltage regulation system. The supply source is controlled in a close-loop PID control mode by regulating the excitement of the dynamo-generator with a 12-bit D/A converter. The voltage can be up and down smoothly so that its resolution can reach 0.025%. By carefully designed, the equipment can withstand stronger discharge disturbances. In the super high voltage testing, the program could still execute normally when an 820 KV discharge occurred at the testing, and the discharge wave forms were recorded by the computer
