Abstract :
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been used very often in new generation wireless networks. On the other hand, contrast to recent wireless networks employing modulations with contant M value (binary or quadrature), in new generation systems the use of modulation techniques with different M values according to the condition of transmssion channel is proposed. In this work, the symbol error performances of Phase Shift Keying (PSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) with different M values (4, 16, 64) are obtained over AWGN and Rayleigh fading channels via simulation. Besides, the simulation results is compared with those of theoratical performance results. It is shown that theoratical and simulation results coincide.
