Abstract
This paper presents an application of a direct torque control (DTC) of an induction machine using a fuzzy inference system (FIS) and space vector modulation. The proposed scheme helps to validate any control algorithm by emulation of different load behaviors. The controlled induction machine used as dynamic load is controlled with the proposed fuzzy-DTC scheme and is connected to the shaft of a machine under test. By using DTC is not needed any model of the machine acting as load. The use of an induction machine instead of a permanent magnet DC machine or a permanent magnet synchronous machine results in a less expensive alternative for load emulation
