Abstract
Based on the performance requirements of dust suppressant for the open-pit mine road, this paper determined that moisture-absorption dust suppressant contains hygroscopic agent, coagulation agent and accessory ingredient. The optimal formula was developed through orthogonal experiment. Moisture content in dust sample, sprayed with the dust suppressant was 13.4% after the dust sample was left untouched indoor for 21 days. Dust suppression experiment on the open-pit mine road was conducted in winter. The experimental result shows that road surface was not frozen when air temperature was as low as -12°C and moisture content in the surface soil of road was 6.2% on the 9th day after dust suppressant was sprayed.
