The objective of the study aims at understanding the problems currently encountered by applying the technology discontinuity concept to measure the Thai technology-based manufacturing industries. This paper presents a comprehensive framework to study the challenges and opportunities in managing such discontinuities so that companies can minimize the chance for technological obsolescence and economic disaster
