Abstract
BST capacitors possess excellent dielectric and electromechanical properties near FE-PE phase transition under dc bias field. In this work we will present the field and temperature dependencies of the electromechanical properties of (Ba,Sr)TiO3. Experimental observations will be compared to predictions from the phenomenological theory of ferroelectric phase transitions. Previously developed densely populated two-dimensional BST arrays will be described for potential applications in real time hand-held acoustic camera for underwater divers, medical imaging, and acoustic microscopy
