Abstract

Functional knowledge ontology is used in the manufacturing sector for knowledge description to improve the sharing and reusability of the knowledge in this paper. The modeling methods about functional knowledge ontology, functional concept ontology, ways of function achievement ontology and functional decomposition trees are researched. The application of functional knowledge ontology is also researched. Finally, a solution (named FKSS) to the knowledge-sharing program using function decomposition trees is presented in this paper.
