  • Abstract
    The image mosaic method presented in the paper is tageted to the problem of images stitching in the linear laser measurement system of flatness defect in strip. In the method, the cameras first are adjusted to make the adjacent images, picked by the two adjacent cameras, containing the overlapping regions with the intersections of horizontal and vertical laser lines, and then calibrated to get the scales. The relationship between two adjacent images is setup by viewing the intersections of horizontal and vertical laser lines as the feature points and using results of cameras´calibrations. Finally the image mosaic is implemented on the base of this relationship. Experiment shows that the algorithm is simple, accurate and is able to achieve real-time image stitching.
