  • Abstract
    The complicated channel characteristics are the main obstacles for the development of 10 kV power line communication. Based on the two-port networks, the ABCD-parameters matrix channel model is established, in which the propagation rules of basic unit accord with the transmission line theory. The working attenuation of the whole network is analyzed, which reveals the causes of frequency selective fading. Based on a simplified model of distribution network, the signal propagation characteristics are simulated for different frequencies and locations. The result verifies the correctness of channel model. Some proposals are put forward for the design of communication system.
