Abstract
Using the instrumental variable (IV) technique, a method for identifying the structure and the parameters of MIMO systems is presented. The whole procedure is done with only one pass through the data. The consistency is obtained in the case of nonstationary noise. Results on real systems, a two degree of freedom flexible robot arm and a distillation column, are given.
