Abstract :
This paper analyzes a cooperative project, in the environmental area, accomplished by the Minas Gerais industrial segment, the public sector and a German institution. It focuses on the importance of the international cooperation as a form of partnership promotion. The cooperative project chosen for analysis is the Minas Ambiente Project, established inside of a Cooperation Program between Brazil and Germany. The first phase of that project was executed just by the Federal University-UFMG and German institution GTZ. The initiative of enlarging the number of partners in the second phase belonged to the German institution. The project Minas Ambiente started in July of 1996, and has a limit of 36 months for its execution
