Abstract :
Up to now, machining process is judged mainly by the post-process measurement of the completed part. The occurrence of reject indicates that there had been some problems in the machining process, but it´s usually difficult to determine where the problems “source” is. Making parts by measuring and adjusting process parameters instead of measuring a completed part will be able to transform the discrete part measuring to a continuous process measuring and the online monitoring can be carried out. A microprocessor-based monitoring system has been developed to obtain the useful information from the parameter change, then estimate and control the process in real time. The process monitoring method is suitable for rotary machining process and specially, for large scale production
