Abstract :
In this paper, a computer monitoring and control system of the robotic assembly line for a ceiling fan motor is described. The monitoring and control system consists of an AST 386/sx computer, a C200H PLC, eight OMRON Series smalltype PLCs, five robotic controllers and three MCS-51 single single chip processors. It is a distributed control system with three levels. The first level is the executive level, whose main characteristic is sequence control. The second level is the coordination level that coordinates the operation of every machine. The third level is the monitoring and management level, whose functions are real-time diagram monitoring and real-time operation. At the same time, the third level stores and reports information. In this paper, the authors introduce the design of the distributed control system for the robotic assembly line. The software design is analysed in detail, and in the monitoring and management level the hardware is also mentioned
