Abstract :
As the load increase in the power grid, the reactive power compensation devices should be added in many substations. Economic and reasonable allocation of reactive power compensation equipment is of great importance to improve transmission capacity and reduce power loss. Based on the study of losses on the transformer and line, combining with the actual operation situation of transformer and line, 220kV substation reactive-power compensation capacity of practical calculation method is proposed in this paper. By this way, the reactive compensation capacity demand of a 220kV substation in Shandong grid has been calculated.
