Abstract :
We propose a novel code-division multiple-access (CDMA) technique for high-speed computer networks using prime codes and optical processing to guarantee real-time data communications. All-optical (LAN) architectures for fully tunable CDMA encoders/decoders are presented, and the delay-control algorithms for prime codes are given. It is shown that the proposed optical CDMA networks have a very fast reconfiguration time and can be feasibly implemented by using integrated optics
