Abstract
This paper investigates the dynamic response of steam generator foundation by finite element analysis. To verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the method, a series of parameters of the finite element model were studied. The parameters consist of material character, mesh size, element type, meshing method, boundary treatment, equipment weight, excitation, post treatment and so on. By comparing the analysis results with the results of model experiment, and analyzing the astringency of the calculation, the finite element method put forward in this paper is proved to be feasible. The method presented here may be helpful for predicting the dynamic response of other type of steam turbine generator foundations.
