Abstract
Technology management can be studied at different units and levels. The literature has documented at least a hierarchy of four levels-functional (Chou, 1995), firm (Robertson and Gatignon, 1998), industry (Carlsson, and Stankiewics, 1991) and national analysis (Kitschelt, 1991). This paper concentrates on the industry level with an emphasis on the national system at large (Porter, 1990). The objective of the paper is then to reveal the Taiwanese system of innovation in the IT industry
