Abstract :
We explore the possibility of making signal processors in which two or more domains, usually kept separate, are mixed together. In one case, nonlinear processing is combined with linear processing; in another, digital bit waveforms are directly filtered by analog filters, in a third, digital processors operate in continuous time. In call cases, the resulting system is externally linear and time-variants.
