Abstract :
This work presents two types of the LINC amplifiers. We propose to study the LINC amplifier with matched combiner. For this type of the LINC we show the impact of the peak to average value of the signal used on the average combiner efficiency. Considering the PDF form of the signal and the curve of the matched combiner efficiency, the origin of the degradation of the average combiner efficiency in this type of the LINC is also studied. In addition, the LINC with lossless combiner is presented. The improvement of the average combiner efficiency in this type of LINC is studied depending on the stubs length value. We show that the choice of the best values of the stubs depends on the PDF of signal used
