Abstract :
The changes in content of fluorescein isothiocyanate (FTTC) marked albumin in pulmonary homogenate in scalded rats were measured to study the changes in pulmonary vascular permeability and the influence of electret on the permeability. The results showed that (1) 12 h after scalding, the pulmonary vascular permeability in the scalded rats was markedly higher than that of controls (P<0.01) and -500 V, -750 V and -1000 V electret treatment groups (P<0.001). (2) 6 h, 12 h and 24 h alter scalding. The permeability of the -500 V electret treatment group was lower than that of scalded groups. The results suggest that the electret has beneficial effects in decreasing pulmonary vascular permeability
