  • Abstract
In this paper, using the block samples with needle-plane electrode system, the influence of additives such as cross-linking byproducts, dicumyl peroxide (DCP) and antioxidants (AO) on the electroluminescence (EL) inception voltage and emission intensity in LDPE-based materials was investigated and analysed. It was found that (1) cross-linking byproducts increase the EL intensity, but can not change the EL inception voltage; (2) DCP decreases the EL inception voltage, but increases the EL intensity; (3) the EL inception voltage of AO-added LDPE samples is higher than that of AO-free ones, whereas their EL intensity is much smaller than that of the AO-free ones
