Abstract
Parallel and distributed systems are a very important computer science area. These systems can be analyzed following different points of view. One of these points is the influence of the scheduling process in the parallel application execution time. This paper describes a simulation model and a simulator for assessing performance indices used in the scheduling process. The main purpose of this simulator is to evaluate the scheduling process when various scheduler, application and architecture platform parameters are considered. Tests to validate the simulator were carried out using different load indices, with relevant results
