  • Abstract
    Four reinforced concrete shear walls were loaded to normal section failure under the cyclic reverse loads. Then the reinforcement method was researched based on the failure mode. The composite reinforcement method of replacing damaged concrete and bonding carbon fiber sheet was adopted. The reverse loads were exerted on the four damaged reinforced concrete shear walls strengthened with carbon fiber sheet until the walls failed. By analyzing the experimental data, the recovery degrees of normal section bearing capacity were discussed. Test results indicate that the normal section bearing capacities of shear walls reached that of original walls.
