Abstract
Based on the 400t/h tangential boiler, the software of FLUENT was used to simulate the temperature field, the distribution of each species concentration field and NOx concentration distribution when co-firing coal and biomass (wheat straw, maize straw and wood dust) which was under the different ratios. The results of calculation and numerical simulation showed that the emission of CO2, SO2, NOx and fly ash could be declined in the co-firing. But at the same time, the temperature in the boiler decreased. According to the comparison of all the results, it was concluded that the ratio of biomass should be controlled into 10% and the wood dust was the best one among the three biomasses which were investigate in this paper.
