  • Abstract
    It is generally true that in order to look to the future it is essential to have a good understanding of where you are today. This paper reviews the salient features of a modern industrial drive at powers to 2 MW and voltages to 690 V, identifies the market drivers for future development and alludes to some of the more important trends.
