Abstract :
In wireless network systems (such as WLAN and cellular phone networks), a major mode of group communications is through centralized algorithm, in which servers are appointed being responsible for all communications between members. Because of building upon P2P periphery theory, it works inefficiently and insists that all functions related processing should be completed by terminals and the intermediates transmit data only. If adopt multicast mode, servers could achieve group broadcast to get high efficiency. But multicast need router support, and there are lots of routers on the Internet which do not have such function, this results in the impossibility of multicast mode practice between wireless and cable networks. To solve this problem, this paper improves reliable flooding algorithm and applies it in wireless and cable networks. Experimental results show that when the network does not support multicast mode, systems perform better under our algorithm than P2P and advance their expansibility. By adding redundant links, the reliability of systems is improved
