  • Abstract
There is a junction between teams, new product development processes and learning. Underlying this junction time, it takes time to for a team to undergo the formation process and develop into a productive group. It also takes time for a project to undergo the product development process, and time is a factor in individual, team and organizational learning. Thus, in order to accelerate new product development, one must reduce the time needed to accomplish any or all of the interrelated processes. This paper examines how to accelerate new product development along these three dimensions by examining the types of learning that needs to occur within product development projects
