Summary form only given. This paper examines the implementation of the product life cycle (PLC) in the OEM Platform Solutions Division (OPSD) of Intel Corporation. This is one of the first successful implementations of a PLC at Intel, in terms of organizational acceptance, conformance and corresponding influence on business results. Therefore, the methods and tools used are examined. This study covers the implementation from 1996 through 1998, and begins with relevant business and cultural issues
