Abstract
This paper aims to find out the dynamics of building a biotechnology cluster. Based on the experience of the biotechnology cluster in Ohio, USA, the authors explore how a cluster of industries in this high-technology area is built in a region. They highlight the institutions, industrial structure and technological system that are the key characteristics of this cluster
