Abstract :
Accurate and Rapid measuring of physical parameters like strain, temperature and pressure has great importance to smart structure, system control and manufacturing process monitoring. Hence, various temperature, strain and pressure measurement Technologies have been developed. In practice, almost all these Technologies are electrically based. Necessities of our century require monitoring of paper parameters at multiple locations at the same time. So, traditional sensors should be rearranged according to that request. In this research, quasi distributed strain and temperature sensing systems with high resolution, low cost, easy fabrication and robustness that can be operated reliably in harsh environment or extended structures and Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBG) which is one of the best techniques of these systems are introduced for that increasing demands.
