  • Abstract
A necessary background for a clear outline of each science existing in this fast-changing world is its permanent development, in terms of both its theoretical and applied aspects, for solving today´s problems and for visions of the future. In this respect, for the modern sciences, the more important role is played by theories, which not only generalize and explain the known facts and phenomena but also serve for predicting and achieving new levels of knowledge. In this paper, methods of teaching in the discipline of distributed measurement systems are presented, and, in particular, laboratory exercises carried out by the students of the Faculty of Automation and the English Language Department of Engineering at the Technical University of Sofia
