Abstract
The low-mass drift chamber system is part of the specially designed positron spectrometer of the MEG experiment. The system is designed to ensure precision measurement of 52.8 MeV/c positrons and consists of 16 independent drift chamber modules. The amount of material along the positron trajectory of one drift chamber module sums up to an average value of only X0,module = 2.6·10-4 of a radiation length.
