Abstract
The authors describe a program of research currently in progress to enhance the design of aeromobile frequency-hopping spread-spectrum (FHSS) radio systems operating in the 255-440 MHz band. The main elements of the program described are: new hop-set sequence designs for multiple-access and antijamming (AJ) purposes: synchronization acquisition techniques; appropriate error control methods; and development of propagation models for aeromobile paths, based on experimental data
