Abstract :
Summary form only given. PVDF and P(VDF-TrFE) copolymer have been extensively studied recently, while much less is known about properties of P(VDF-TFE) copolymer. The purpose of this work was to study the role played by the trapped charge in thermal stability of the residual polarization in P(VDF-TFE) films and to find the energy of the charge de-trapping. To accomplish this, polarization profiles in the films poled either with or without a thermal stimulation were measured at different temperatures by the piezoelectrically induced pressure step (PPS) method. The activation energy was calculated from the experimental data and compared with those already known for PVDF and P(VDF-TrFE) copolymer
