Abstract :
Technique has been developed to prepare woodceramics. The experiment selects wheat straw, thermosetting resin, alcohol, etc as raw material, all these components are mixed uniformly according to the proportion and hot pressed to sample with the dimension. The samples were put into the vacuum furnace and sintered in the atmosphere of nitrogen, and the termination temperature is respectively 300°C, 400°C, 500°C, 600°C,700°C and 800°C, and woodceramics were prepared. The partial properties of woodceramics were tested at the same time. the ratio of remains of carbon is about 45%, the rate of apparent pore is 47%, the cubage density is 0.93 g/cm, the real density is 1.75 g/cm, the bending strength is 7 MPa and the resistivity reaches 10-2 Ω·cm at about 800°C . A systematic analyses of the material properties, forming mechanism and regularity of woodceramics is made. Uncovered are the effects of the formula of raw materials, the consistencies of phenol resin and the temperature on the technique and the properties of woodceramics. It is shown that the wheat straw can be used to produce woodceramics with this technique. The presented work provides useful ideas for the study of the preparation of woodceramics.
